After the first day nobody thought the workload could increase but it did…! However with the extra work the spirt within the team gets better and better…after a every rainstorm around lunchtime, which delayed work for an hour or so we all agreed to put the extra time in at the end of the day. We virtually had to be dragged off the site as the noticeable progress encourages us all to keep on going…!
The banter with all of us is great and the locals are now joining in!
Here´s to another productive day tomorrow…

England 2 Ecuador 0 that is how the football game that we played during our lunch break ended, Granted the England team was mostly composed of Ecuadorians with only myself and Tom Keighley representing England.We also happened to be the two goal scorers. Most of the running was done by our Ecuadorian colleagues and man can they run, both Tom and myself feeling the effects of altitude just providing the finishing touches. Work has progressed really well at the site even though we were hampered by the weather. We are not allowed to do any work when it rains hence the rush to try to get the roof on. All the team were extremelly knackered but we are in very high spirits, even having an improtu karaoke sing along towards the end of the day as we were shifting some concrete. That’s all for today as Mariana is kicking me off the pc!

Ha Ha well done on your football abilites,You all sound as though you are having a great time,even though it sounds exhausting.It’s a memory that will last with you forever,Im going week 8 cant wait,enjoy the rest of your time there and savour every moment.x
