The week 11 team had a wonderful welcome at Miraflores today. The kids all sang their National Anthem for us – all three verses. Pretty impressive since I’d be lost after verse 1 of God save the Queen.  (I have just looked it up on the web and verses 2 & 3 are quite odd!) We also had dancing. We think we have now established that lamas are not for riding but much to some people´s amazement the question was actually asked! So after a long long journey, but thankfully uneventful, bar a few open conversations getting to know each other, the what is now affectionatly known as the “Quito” family arrived safely at Hotel Finlandia.
