Today’s ceremonies were really quite touching. We continued working for a couple of hours and then congregated in the school yard.  There were speeches and an exchange of gifts.  The children performed a sketch for us and we sang our Bupa song.  There was also a local band who played us some great music, we danced around with the children until we were completely exhausted.  I tried to get some of the construction workers to join in too but they’re all [...]

It’s early morning here at the hotel and we’ll be leaving shortly for our last day at work.  My post last night didn’t publish for some reason so I’ll do a quick recap before we have to leave. Yesterday work was more of the same – brick scraping, brick carrying and lifting of beams.  No let up on the hard physical labour, however I was pleased to not be suffering from the aches and pains I had on day two.  [...]
